Editing Goals for 2025 - a Challenge and Request for Help

Nothing like a week of proofreading to ease into the new year as the kids go back to school.

Take that, typo! And that, inadvertent subject/verb disagreement! Ha! Extraneous hyphen - not on my watch!

I can't decide if I feel like a boxer warming up, or Zorro, slashing at villains.

Have at thee, homophone error! Who's next?!

Zorro. Definitely Zorro.

But now, helpful citizens of the world, I need your help:

My editing goal for 2025 is to edit, review or proofread at least 1,600,000 words. It's ambitious, but not unreachable if we work together! Will you help me get there?

If you have a book that's in the works, get in touch and we'll pencil in your preferred time slot. If you don't personally need my services this year, I would be very grateful if you would forward this post on to your contacts to widen its distribution.

En garde!

Photo is a still frame from the movie "Amélie" (originally released in France as "Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain"), one of my favorite movies of all time. Highly recommend. In the photo, Amélie, dressed as Zorro, presents her sword to the camera.
