Holiday Book Gift Ideas

It's certainly starting to feel Christmassy around here! Check it out - all this snow has fallen in the last twenty-four hours! I'm really glad because, aside from my kids' enjoyment, the snow just makes everything so much BRIGHTER. It was very dark and dull in Ottawa before yesterday.

In getting into the Christmas spirit, here's a list of indie books that my clients published this lately, perfect for the book lover on your list! Have you already read any? Leave a comment to help others find a new favorite!

Circ de Tarot Series, by Kimberley D. Tait: Vandemere, (book 1) and Fire Horse, (book 2). The print and e-book versions were released in 2023, but now she has an audio version for Vandemere!

Killer Signature Series, by Christine Winston: The Girls Who Love to Kill (book 3) released this year. The Girls That Break (book 1) and The Girls Who Got Away (book 2) were released previously, but she got new covers done this year that look really great - you could get the set! They could, technically be read in any order, but there’s a continuing thread throughout that benefits from numerical reading order.

The Unconventional Dance of Chains, by Cary Anne. A spicy novelette set in a tropical paradise.

The Caltrys Chronicles: Book 1, by Evelyn Jade Cazier. A fun middle-grade/YA fantasy by a debut author!

Harts of the West series, by Samantha Thomas: Rhett’s Promise (book 5) and Luke’s Truth (book 6) released this year, completing the romantic affairs of the Hart family. Fun, clean feel-good books.

Also watch out for upcoming releases in 2025 from Veronica Romney and Zan Jackson (I’ll put a link for hers once she has it up - stay tuned!)
